James Henry Dainwood, age 76, of Burkeville, Texas died on Monday, March 19, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Newton, Texas with burial to follow at the Newton City Cemetery. He was native of Burkeville and was a former resident of the Golden Triangle area. He retired from Union Oil Co. in 1985 and returned to the Burkeville area. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Dainwood of Burkeville, Texas, his sons, James Darwin Dainwood of Burkeville, Texas and John Bradley Dainwood of Huntsville, TX 2 grandchildren Mikel Darwin Dainwood and Kaleb Scott Dainwood and his nieces and nephews, Sopharia Ann Hurst, Jonathan Hurst, James Hurst and Tammy Soileau.
