    Travis Alexander Cousins, 22, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2008 in Austin. Funeral will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Fielder Road Baptist Church, 1323 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Dr. Gary Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. A memoriam has been established at www.traviscousins.com

    Travis was born on April 14, 1986 in Dallas to Trey and Carol Cousins. He was raised in the Arlington-Dalworthington Gardens area and graduated from Arlington High School in 2004. Travis was fluent in Spanish and was the President of the Debate and Theatre club in high school. He was well known for his roles in school musicals. He was a member of the National Honor Society and a recipient of the Principal's award. He was also a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church. A senior at the University of Texas at Austin, Travis was a Fine Arts major. He wrote political commentary for the Libertarian newspaper. An impassioned bumper sticker commando, Travis was an accomplished artist, actor, playwright and screenwriter. He enjoyed fine arts, cooking, dancing, fencing, and watching movies. Travis loved four-wheeling, sports and the outdoors, and was one of the best paintball backman. He had traveled to many destinations including England, Scotland, Spain, Italy, Australia and France. Survivors include parents, Trey and Carol Cousins; brothers, Randall Cousins and Kelly Huffman and wife Holly and their children Tyler and Sophie; maternal grandmother, Faye Ellis; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Cousins; numerous other family members; and a host of friends.
