    Elbert J. Hines Rites in Laredo

    Elbert Jessie Hines, 91, 520 S. Harlandale, died at his home Friday. He was a native of Hemphill, but had resided in this city for 14 years.

    He is survived by three sons, S. R. Hines of San Antonio, A. A. Hines of Laredo and C. C. Hines of Flint, Mich.; and five daughters, Mrs. W. E. Smith of Fort Worth, Mrs. Mattie Mellon of Refugio, Mrs. T. C. Grimes of Mission, and Mrs. Ruth Richter and Mrs. Alice Carpenter, both of San Antonio.

    The body was sent Saturday to Lareod, for services and interment in that city.

    LaDarla Walker Keith posted that she married James Madison CONNER, son of Lewis Conner and Martha Ann Weeks. She stated that Amanda and James homesteaded in DeBeca/Roosevelt County, New Mexico before returning to Wise County, Texas. They had three sons, one of them being her grandfather.
