Maurice Dickerson
Maurice Dickerson, 73, of Milam, passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at Lufkin Memorial Hospital in Lufkin. He was born Nov. 23, 1935 in Nacogdoches County to Vertie Mae (Chambers) and Walter Elbert Dickerson.
Dickerson had lived in Sabine County most of his life and had been a sawyer for a lumber company. He was a member of Bragg Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors: wife, Martha Dickerson of Milam; sons, Michael Dickerson, Mark Dickerson and his wife, Vickie, and Mervin Dickerson, all of Milam; brothers, Jerry Wayne Dickerson and his wife Janelle of Lufkin, and Vivian Dickerson and his wife Eudelene of Center; sister, Wanda Wall and her husband Royce of Norwood; three grandchildren, Scotty, Cory, and Krista; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 10 at New Hope Baptist Church with Bro. Wade Bryan officiationg. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of Starr Funeral Home Hemphill.

Mervin Dickerson, 47, of Milam, Texas, died Friday night in the Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas, to Maurice and Martha Lacy Dickerson and has lived in Milam all his life. Mervin was a mud logger in the oil fields of Texas.
Mervin is survived by his mother Martha Dickerson of Milam, his brothers; Micheal Dickerson of Milam, Mark Dickerson and wife Vickie of Milam, Texas, nephews Scott Simpson, Jr. and Cory Simpson, great nephews; Gunnar Simpson and Vador Simpson, and great niece Hannah Simpson. He is preceded in death by his father Maurice Dickerson.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Sunday, April 3, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, April 4, 2016, in the New Hope Cemetery, Milam, Texas.

Ms. Charlotte Jo Dickerson, age 50 of Lufkin, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, in Lufkin.
Charlotte was born August 19, 1965, to Janelle (Hightower) Dickerson and Jerry Dickerson in San Augustine, Texas. She was employed as a Pharmacy Technician and was a member of the Bragg Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Those who are left to cherish her memory include, Her Father, Jerry Dickerson of Lufkin; Daughter, Erin Hearn of New Mexico; Sisters, Lynn Lamb and Leonard Hugh of Pollock; Debra Spears and her husband, Kenneth of Corpus Christi; Her grandchildren, Madison Hearn of San Marcos; Lacey Dickerson of San Marcos and Lori Holyfield of New Mexico; Nieces and Nephews, Stephanie Tipton of San Marcos; Laurel Strickland of St. Mary, Georgia and Lance Lamb of San Antonio.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Janelle Dickerson, and her grandparents.
Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016, in the Chinquapin Cemetery in San Augustine County, with Bro. Wade Bryan officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas 75972.

Donald Alvin Dickerson, 50, of Star City, AR, passed away Wednesday August 21, 2013 at John L. McClellan Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born July 26, 1963 in Hemphill, TX to Vivian and Eudeline Lane Dickerson. He was a minister and missionary at Southside Baptist Church in Star City, also serving as a missionary in Cowie, Scotland, UK and was a lieutenant in the US Navy, graduating in 1985 from the US Naval Academy.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Dickerson of Star City; parents Vivian and Eudeline Dickerson of Center, TX; son, Ryan McCormack of Cowie, Scotland, UK; and two broth- ers, Brian Dickerson and Chuck Dickerson.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. on Monday at Faith Baptist Church in N. Little Rock with Bro. Allen Hagood, Bro. Keith Rowton, Bro. Robert "Mack" Myers and Ed Fallon officiating.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday at the church. A second visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Southside Baptist Church in Star City. Pallbearers are Shawn Bai, Mike Crofford, Brian Dickerson, Bryan Lehman, Alan Myers, Rob Payne, Isaac Patterson and Daniel Rucker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, Alan Dickerson "Young Ministries" Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 545, Star City, AR 71667. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
