    Gail Robinson, on her "Williams/McGee" Ver . 2008-07-22" tree on Rootsweb showed her as Evelyn Sarah Vines. The Texas Birth Index for daughter Helen Marie Bragg shows her as Evelyn Sosa Vines. The Texas Birth Index listing for younger daughter, Lidia Darlene Bragg simply shows her as Evelyn Vines. The obituary of her grandson, Timothy Allen Wilson, shows her as his surviving "grandmother, Evelyn S. Bragg of Milam"

    An article about her 101rst birthday celebration, in The Sabine County Reporter, 23 November 2022, page 2, notes she was born and raised on a farm near Many, Louisiana. After marrying her husband George Yudell Bragg in 1939, she moved to Sabine County, Texas, where she has lived all of her adult life. Even at 101, she was said to be still active in going to church and canning jellies of all kinds. Her other favorite pass time is quilting.

    The paper tried to get a count of how large her family was, but after a couple of attempts she just said "there's a bunch of us and it keeps growing."

    Evelyn attributed her long life to "(living) ...a good life, no cussing, drinking or smoking."

    Evelyn married George Udell Bragg on 7 Oct 1939 in Zwolle, Sabine Parish, Louisiana. George (son of William Herman Bragg, Sr. and Bertha Lee Lord) was born on 10 Dec 1919 in Milam, Sabine County, Texas; died on 26 Jun 1976 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas; was buried in New Hope Cemetery, Milam, Sabine County, Texas.     Johnny James Ford, 61, of Bronson, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Sabine County Hospital.

    Johnny was born in San Augustine, Texas on December 10, 1960 to Paul Gene Ford and Eva Dell Bragg Ford. He was a graduate of West Sabine High School and later worked for almost 25 years for Deep East Texas Electric Co-Op as a lineman.

    Johnny was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and he was the type of man who never met a stranger. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing and all kinds of hunting. He also enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with his grandson, Dalton and he attended Riverside Gospel Assembly Church in Milam.

    Johnny is survived by his wife of 38 years, JoAnn Ford of Bronson; mother, Eva Dell Shoemaker and husband, Roger Tom of Milam; grandmother, Evelyn Bragg of Milam; son, Jeremy Ford of San Marcos; daughter, Jessica Ford of San Augustine; brothers, Tony Ford and wife, Myrtie, of Bronson and Wyndell Ford and wife, Tina, also of Bronson; grandson, Dalton Sowell of San Augustine and many more friends and family.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Gene Ford; brother, Lacy Ford; and PaPaw, George Bragg.

    Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022 in Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

    Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George Bragg officiating.

    Burial will follow services in Little Flock Cemetery with Chris Ford, Marlon Ford, Nick Key, Tony "Little Man" Ford, Craig Ford, Jason Butler and Aaron Skogen serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers is Marcus Key, Billy Crow and Whit Michalec.

    Tim was born January 3, 1964 in San Augustine, Texas to Don Gary Wilson and Helen Marie Bragg. He was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and worked as an auto mechanic. He attended school at Hemphill I.S.D. when he wasn't busy fishing. Tim loved to fish.

    Tim was preceded in death by his father, Don Wilson.

    He is survived by his grandmother, Evelyn S. Bragg of Milam; parents, Helen and Amos Hanzel of Milam; son, Hunter John Wilson and wife, Deanna, of Milam; daughter, Cameron Wilson of Charleston, South Carolina; brothers, Amos Hanzel, Jr. of San Augustine and Tracy Hanzel, also of San Augustine; sisters, Donna Shirley and husband, Brad, of Milam and Amber Persky and husband, Scott, of Milam; and two grandchildren, Ruger and Paisley.

    Memorial services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

    Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas.
