Wilma Sue Savell

Wilma Sue Campbell, 89, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill, Texas.

Sue was born March 31, 1934 in Bronson, Texas to Levi Savell and Elnora Keller Savell. She was a lifetime resident of Sabine County and a graduate of Bronson High School. She was a longtime member of Hemphill Church of God.

Sue was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. She also loved to read and especially loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim E. Campbell and her daughters, Charlotte Elaine Campbell and Martha Ann Hayes.

She is survived by her son, Jeremy Campbell and wife, Paula, of Lufkin; grandchildren, Scott Campbell, Julia Campbell, Dustin Goynes, Dolan Procell and Minnie Walker; and numerous great grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Jim (son of Joseph Edward Campbell and Arie Elizabeth Strickland) was born on 30 Oct 1931 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 7 Nov 2016 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas; was buried in Plainview Cemetery (aka Plainview Family Cemetery), Pineland, Sabine County, Texas.
