    His Texas Death certificate shows he was a son of W. A. McClelland, born in Sabine County, and Dovie Marshall, born in San Augustine County. He was in the Trucking business, and a resident of Jasper County, Texas. He died in a work related accident in Snyder, Scurry County, Texas. Although his death certificate shows he was to be buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, he appears to have actually been buried in the Lott Cemetery.

    Van married Alma Julia Lott before 1949. Alma (daughter of Joshua Lott and Mary Eliza "Lizzie" Jacks) was born on 2 Nov 1922 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 5 Jun 2016 in The Woodlands, Harris County, Texas; was buried in Lott Cemetery, Sabine County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
