John F. Dlouhy, 75, died Wednesday (6/8/05) in Lincoln. Born (1/5/30) in Tobias to Adolph J. and Mary F. (Koca) Dlouhy. Retired welder. Member: Faith Lutheran Church. John was a very active member and volunteer at church and Meals on Wheels, was a blood donor and enjoyed gardening. He was employed with Lincoln Steel for 31 years and National Crane for 8 years. U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors: wife, Helen (Wambolt) Dlouhy, Lincoln; sons, daughters-in-law, David J. and Ana Dlouhy, Katy, Texas, Ted M. and Connie Dlouhy, Omaha; daughter, son-in-law, Beverly J. Dlouhy, Ashley and James Ashley, Lincoln; grandson, Luis Dlouhy; brother, sister-in-law, Adolph and Evelyn Dlouhy, Tobias; sister, brother-in-law, Emilye and Ron Dunn, Lincoln; nieces, nephews, cousins. Preceded in death by: parents; daughter, Kathryn Ann Dlouhy.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams St., Lincoln. Pastor Jerry Troester. Visitation: 12-9 p.m., with family greeting friends, 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Roper & Sons Funeral Home, 4300 O St. Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to Faith Lutheran Church and School c/o the Dlouhy family.
