At the time of the 1900 Grayson County, Texas census, a 56 year old George W. Adair, born in Alabama in July 1843 (???) , was living in Tom Bean Town with his wife, Lucy (55) and son Joseph (21), Pleas (18), George (16) and daughter Lina McCown/McGown (a 27 year old widow with two of her own children). Lena was born in Mississippi, with the sons all being born in Arkansas.

The couple was shown as being married 33 years, with Lucy being the mother of 7 children, 6 still living.

There is a obvious difference in age and marriage facts. But is it possible this is the same family?

George married Anna Bell Hill on 23 Sep 1883 in Lawrence County, Alabama. Anna was born before 1863; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
