    GREENWOOD ? The funeral service for Robert Baird "R.B." Moor, will be at 2 p.m. today at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Moor died April 20 at his home. He was born in Greenwood to Jams and Marion Baird Moor. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a farmer and merchant. He was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church. He served as chairman of the Delta Lifestock Parade, was a member of Elks Lodge and co-founded Greenwood Community Band. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Moor. He leaves a son, Robert Baird Moor Jr. of Greenwood; three daughters, Margaret Rinicker of Greenwood, Laurie Robertson of Oxford, Mary Linda Moore of Corinth; brother, Marion Moor of Nashville; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Any memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.

    Greenwood, MS: Mr. Robert Baird "R. B." Moor died Wednesday evening April 20, 2011 at his home. Funeral services are 2 P.M. Sat. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Seefeld will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-2 Saturday.

    Born in Greenwood to Robert James and Marion Baird Moor, R.B. spent most of his life at Ft. Loring Plantation. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1944, attended Delta State College and graduated from Ms State University. He served in the US Army Air Corps and was a farmer and merchant. He was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church where he was active in Sunday School, served on the Board of Trustees and was involved in youth activities. He served as chairman of the Delta Livestock Parade, was a member of the Elk's lodge and co-founded the Greenwood Community Band along with Roy Martin. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles H. Moor.

    He is survived by his son, Robert Baird Moor, Jr. of Greenwood, 3 daughters, Margaret Rinicker of Greenwood, MS, Laurie Robertson of Oxford, MS, Mary Linda Moore of Corinth, MS, a brother Marion Moor of Nashville, TN, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

    Pallbearers are Bob Patterson, Buford Tubbs, Ray Makamson, Justin Jeffcoat, Larry Gnemi, Matt Gnemi and Mike Turner. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Edgar Donahoe and members of the Greenwood Community Band.

    Memorials may be made to 1st United Methodist Church.

    Marion McLemore Moor

    Nashville, TN

    Marion McLemore Moor died on December 3, 2013 in Nashville, TN. He was the son of the late Marion Baird Moor and the late Robert James Moor. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert Baird Moor and Charles Harold Moor of Greenwood.

    He was born September 2, 1930 in Greenwood, MS. Marion was proud of his Scottish heritage and the Southern culture he enjoyed growing up in the Mississippi Delta on Fort Loring Plantation. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1948 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tulsa in 1952.

    He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janice Harder Moor, and three children, Robin Moor (Vicki), Jamie Granbery (Jimmy), and Geren Moor (Tracy), all of Nashville. He was predeceased by one grandchild, Marc Eric Moor, and is survived by grandchildren, Veronica Moor, Victoria Moor Gambrell (Jordan), Marion Granbery Floyd (Adam), Treanor Granbery, Addie Moor, and Jake Moor, and by great-grandson, Hunter Miller.

    Marion was dedicated to his career as a petroleum geologist and was actively pursuing projects up to the time of his death. He loved his nickname "Rocky", referring to his chosen profession. He was privileged to pursue military service in the United States Navy from his time in high school as a seaman recruit. He received his commission as an ensign in 1952 and after two years of active duty and over 25 years of reserve duty, he retired as a commander.

    Marion was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Greenwood. After moving to Nashville in 2005, he became a member of Belle Meade United Methodist Church where he was an active participant in the Shepherd's Sunday school class.

    The Reverend Tom Gildemeister will preside over a Memorial Service at Belle Meade United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 7th at 11 a.m. Visitation with the family will precede the service beginning at 10 a.m. A private military burial service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1870, Greenwood, MS 38935; Belle Meade United Methodist Church, 121 Davidson Road, Nashville, TN 37205; or a charity of choice
