4. | John A. McLemore (1.Permelia1) was born about 1845 in Williamson County, Tennessee; and died. Notes:
Mark Freeman shows him as the same person as the John Armstead McLemore (born 1855 vs. 1845) who married Mary Matthews and was the father of William Armstead McLemore. Based on the 10 year gap in age, this may not be correct.

7. | William Robert McLemore (1.Permelia1) was born about 1852 in Carroll County, Tennessee; died about 1910. Notes:
From the 'Humboldt Courrier': "Milan, TN., Jan. 30--Robert McLemore, aged about 68 years, died yesterday of pneumonia at the home of S. H. Hughes near here. He was a Confederate soldier. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Manning of Lavinia & Mrs. Fry of Cedar Grove,TN." (Courtesy of Mark Freeman's Website McLEMORE FAMILY OF SOUTHSIDE VIRGINIA http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~markfreeman/mclemore.html)
Mark Freeman has him born ca 1842, however, this contradicts both the 1850 and 1860 census. It appears he was born in 1852. He must have been very young when entered the Civil War, perhaps in the last days of that war.
|
8. | James Sugars McLemore (1.Permelia1) was born about 1855 in Carroll County, Tennessee; died about 1901 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Notes:
Mark Freeman has his date of birth as ca 1845, but this contradicts both the 1850 and 1860 census.
Could this be him at the time of the 1880 census? Note that this census information would support 1855 as his date of birth. This also might be the listing for his older brother, John, who was also said to be married to a woman named Nannie.

9. | Margaret Jane McLemore (1.Permelia1) was born about 1858 in Carroll County, Tennessee; and died. Notes:
Mark Freeman has her date of birth as 1848, but this contradicts both the 1850 and 1860 census. George Rogers, a descendant, emailed in September 2013 that Margaret Jane "had children from her only known marriage. One son George Edward Rogers and daughter Francis or Fannie. She was married then separated from her only known husband a George W.(Washington) Rogers. When they separated Geroge took his son George Edward Rogers (my grandfather) and Margaret took her daughter Fannie. No idea where Margaret went. George W. Rogers lived in Lavania, Carroll County and remarried a Susan Elizabeth (maiden name Pritchard)Butler whom was married with previous children from her late husband Mr. Butler."

Mark Freeman has his date of birth as 1865, however family members instead show him as being born late in 1860. Jeff Loveless also show he and Ida as being the parents of his ancestor, Durant McLemore, born in Bells, Crockett County, Tennessee. It appears that Durant was more likely the son of Edward's second cousin, Dr. A. M. McLemore.
