    Notes:

POSSIBLY a step-son of Ross McDaniel. Was listed with him as a 13 year old (born 1917) son at the time of the 1930 census, but NOT at the time of the 1920 census. Listed as a son, and absent from home, at the time of the 1940 census. His occupation in 1940 was shown as Laborer, C.C.C. (Civilian Conservation Corps), however his age was shown as 19, putting his year of birth closer to 1921. This is likely the reason he was "missing" in 1920.

Was listed as an 11 year old daughter (sic) of Ross and Edna at the time of the 1930 census. Shown as Jack L, age 17, son, in 1940. His headstone, a photo of which can be seen at his FindAGrave memorial page, shows him as Jimpsey (Jack) McDaniel, and also has an Masonic emblem. His Texas Death Certificate showed him as a son of Ross McDaniel and Mary Margaret Gaskin. He was a Painter with Local 328, and a resident of Groves, Jefferson County, Texas. He died in Jasper Texas of internal injuries due to an automobile accident on FM 1013. He was shown as married, his surviving spouse Eva Mae DERISE.
