The digital image of his actual Texas Death Certificate, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, shows him as the son of Henry Bell and Frances Easley. He was married at the time of his death. His occupation was shown as Farmer. He was a resident of Brookeland, Texas, 1/2 mile south of the town center, at the time of his death. He died at the VA Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was a veteran of World War I.

There is a military marker at his gravesite reading Texas Pvt 59 PW Excort Co ASC WW I PH
