    ...I William MACKLEMORE of Duplin county and State aforesaid ...in consideration of the sum of Twelve pounds...to me in hand...by Solomon MAGEE of the County and State aforesaid....sell....one certain Tract of Land containing one hundred and fifty Acres, lying and being in the County of Duplin of the State aforesaid, lying and being on the East side of Little Coheara...I have as good rightful process and lawful authority by virtue of a Patent...under the great seal of the above said Colony, to grant...the said bargained premises.....and I the said William McLEMORE do hereby bind myself....
    In witness whereof I the said William McLEMORE have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th day of March 1784 and in the Eighth year of American Independence, William (his mark) MCLEMORE
