The STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST, dated September 3, 1962, reported that they had moved from Los Angeles, California to Alpena, Michigan, where they were going to operated a Paint and Paper store.

    Richard Dill

    Richard Thompson Dill, 73, of San Pointe, formerly of Grosse Pointe Woods, died Monday, June 1, 1998, in Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

    He was born July 21, 1924, in Bridgeport, Ohio, to Charles and Nelle (Thompson) Dill. He married Bonnie Mark June 21, 1952, in Grosse Pointe Woods.

    He served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer in the European and Pacific Theatres. He attended the University of Wyoming and received his degree from the University of Michigan in 1950. He worked as the Regional Manager for Chrysler's Export Division in Africa. He then worked for Renault of America as district manager for 6 years. He retired from J. Walter Thompson Advertising after 25 years as an office manager covering (amoung others) the Ford Dealer account. He was a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Detroit.

    He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Molly DILL of Westminister, Colo.; sister-in-law, Pauline DILL; nieces, great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert DILL, and sister, Betty ROSENBERG.

    Funeral services were held Friday in Little & Kranz Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Rice, of Cass City United Methodist Church, officiating.

    Interment was in Elkland Township Cemetery.

    Memorials may be made to the Cass City United Methodist Church.

    Arrangements were made by Little & Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City.

Bonnie (daughter of Edward Albert Mark and Mary Jane Leitch) was born on 26 Oct 1926 in Cass City, Tuscola County, Michigan; died on 1 Jun 1998 in Pigeon, Huron County, Michigan.
