At the time of the 1900 census, Taylor was a Farm Laborer and living with his new bride. They lived next door to G.C Smith (age 45) and his wife Alice (age 41), Ida Smith (age 17) and Ella Smith (age 11). I believe that G.C. and Alice were the parents of Taylor. At the time of the 1880 Sabine census, the family appeared as follows:
