    Army Sgt. Andrew L. "Andy" Bossert, age 24, of Fountain City, formerly of Cassville, died on Monday, March 7, 2005, from injuries sustained while serving his country in Iraq. Andrew was born on Oct. 1, 1980, in Lancaster, the son of Steven K. and Diane V.(Belcher) Bossert. Andy attended Cochrane-Fountain City Schools, graduating from C-FC High School with the class of 1999. Following graduation from high school, he spent one semester at UW-Stout before enlisting in the United States Army in February 2000.

    He was stationed in Korea for 2 1/2 years before being deployed to Iraq. While he was stationed in Korea, Andy met his wife, Olya. They were united in marriage on Dec. 9, 2002. Andy loved to ride motorcycles and hang out with his friends. He will be remembered by many for his outgoing personality, his sense of humor, his warm smile and for often putting the needs of others in front of his own. He will be truly and sadly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Andy is survived by his wife, Olya; parents, Steven and Diane Bossert, all of rural Fountain City; his brother, Timothy K. (Danica) Bossert of Cochrane; his sister, Amy L. Bossert of Waukesha; his paternal grandfather, Louis K. Bossert of Cassville; a niece, Rainee Radowitz; two nephews, Riley Kent and Reese Allen Bossert; several aunts; uncles; cousins; and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; and paternal grandmother. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2005, at 11 a.m. at ST. CHARLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, Cassville, with Pastor Burton Everist officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Cassville Cemetery, Cassville Township. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the MARTIN PAGE FUNERAL HOME, Cassville, and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
