Anna, being the good cook that she was, cooked in several of the cafes and the Erdkamp Nursing Home. She was also active in clubs, church activities and caring for her grandchildren. She and Joe loved to dance. (Milligan, p 289).

Anna married Joseph Adolph Hass on 3 Jun 1919. Joseph (son of Joseph M. Hass and Frances A. Prokop) was born on 19 Oct 1895 in Dorchester, Saline County, Nebraska; died on 25 Mar 1973 in Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian National Cemetery (Milligan South), Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska. Notes:

Reyne was born on the same farm north of Milligan where Anna was born. He attended District School #6 with his cousin, Al, who lived with them. After graduating from Exeter High School, Renye attended business college in Lincoln, after which he worked in Alliance, Nebraska and the Lincoln Air Base. He spent two years in the Navy, and then attended the University of Nebraska. He left school early to help his father after he became ill. (Milligan, p 289).

Renye J. Hass 83, Friend, formerly of Exeter, died Tuesday (8/5/08). Born September 21, 1924 at Milligan to Joseph & Anna (Brt) Hass. Survivors: wife, Lenora, Friend; son & daughter-in-law, Bob & Jackie, York; daughters & sons-in-law, Maribeth & David Stone, St. Peters, Mo.; Marsha & David Swanstrom, Hastings; sisters-in-law & brother-in-law, Dorothy Rejcha, Beatrice; Leon & Ed Jirak, Boise, Idaho; granddaughters, Michelle Stone, Indianapolis, Ind.; Angela Hass, Salina, Kan. Funeral Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday (8/9/08) at the United Methodist Church, Exeter. Rev. Jeff Adams Officiating. Visitation beginning Friday (8/8/08) 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Farmer Funeral Home, Exeter. Military Graveside Services: Bohemian National Cemetery, Milligan. Memorials to the family.
