    Funeral services for Alvin J. Rennels will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Martin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Truman Teel officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home.

    Alvin Jasper 'Mutt' Rennels was born May 3, 1914 in Colter to Alfred and Blanche (Dunlap) Rennels and died Saturday at the age of 82. He was married to Hazel Allison, July 27, 1927 in Los Angeles, California. They lived in the Colter community until March of 1994 when moving to Elk City. He was a lifetime farmer and cattleman, retiring some two years ago. He was a faithful member of the Westside Church of Christ.

    Survivors include his wife, Hazel of the home; one son, Dick Rennels and his wife Linda of Canute; one daughter, Pat Massy and her husband Dale of Hammon; one brother, Doyle Rennels of Medford, Oregon; two sister-in-law, Gertie Rennels of Carpenter and Iona Allison of Elk City; one brother-in-law, Clint Allison of Elk City; four grandsons; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Wade.

    Alvin married Hazel Beatrice Allison on 27 Jul 1937 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. Hazel was born on 24 Dec 1917 in Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma; died on 6 Dec 2003 in Beckham County, Oklahoma; was buried in Red Hill Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
