C.W. "Weldon" Easley

C.W. "Weldon" Easley, 80, of Jasper died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Easley was a native of Sabine County and had lived in Jasper several years. He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War II and a longtime member of First Baptist Church. Survivors: wife of 51 year, Iris Easley of Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Karen Easley of Silsbee; a step-son, Ron Miller of Houston; sisters, Pauline Butler and Faye House both of Hemphill, Neva Busick of Pineland; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home chapel in Jasper. Interment followed at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Jasper. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church's Building Fund, 314 N. Main St., Jasper, TX 75951.
