Alba "Abbie" M. Buzek

She attended rural school district #85 in Saline County. As the oldest daughter, Alba helped her parents care for her younger siblings while she was growing up. Later she worked as a store clerk in Milligan, Tobias, and Santa Monica, California. She also was employed as a cook at the Friend Annex.

For a while, Anna lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Ed Placek. She also lived with Mildred and Lowell Frankforter in Los Angeles. She purchased her own home in Milligan in 1948. A lover of flowers, she also cared for her many fruit trees and shrubs. She enjoyed sharing her flowers with others for banquets, graduations, and Memorial Day. (Milligan, p 224).
