Mrs. Geo. Kolb was called to Mayville Monday by the serious illness of her sister-in-law, Mrs. John Wagner. She passed away that evening. Mr. Kolb and Frank Gordon left Wednesday to attend the funeral. Mrs. Wagner was born in Wisconsin 61 years ago. At the age of six years she came to Elkland Township with her parents and resided heer about 25 years when she moved to Caro. She leaves two brothers, Geo. and John Kolb of Cass City; three sisters, Mrs. Ad Craw of Mrs. Isaac Adel, both of Caro and Mrs. Mary Buerk of Pontiac; two sons, Frank Gordon of Cass City and Robt. Wagner of Mayville, and two daughters.

Listed as Sarah on the 1880 census?

She married first a Mr. Nash. They had a son, Earl Nash, born July, 1897 in Michigan. She married second Frank Mott, and they had one daughter who married a Burke. On the 1900 census for Tuscola County, Earl Nash is living in the home of John and Anna Wagner, and is listed as his grandson (John Wagner was Anna's second husband). Reeta Wagner of Bridgeport stated Earl Nash was the son of Della Gordon.

Frank married Carrie Herr in Feb 1912 in Cass City, Tuscola County, Michigan. Carrie was born on 16 Mar 1893 in Cass City, Tuscola County, Michigan; died on 5 Jan 1979 in Durand, Shiawassee County, Michigan. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

When Robert was 16 years of age, his father gave his consent to join the Air Corps during World War I.

From 1948 until his retirement in 1973, he owned and managed United Wholesalers Inc. He and Reeta moved to Saginaw (Bridgeport) in 1954, and Robert lived there until his death.

Robert married Reeta M. Smith on 16 Aug 1921 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan. Reeta was born on 21 Feb 1903 in Caro, Tuscola County, Michigan; died in Dec 1985 in Saginaw County, Michigan. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Elaine A. Bartkowiak- Saginaw, Michigan - Elaine A. Bartkowiak was welcomed into heaven by Jesus and her loving husband Norbert on January 12, 2012, at the Cartwright Care Center.

Elaine, age 83, was the daughter of the late Reeta (Smith) and Robert Wagner. Elaine married the love of her life, Norbert, on July 15,1948. He predeceased her on December 12, 2011.

Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family up north, baking, square dancing, bird watching and gardening. She is survived by three sons, Robert (Cindy) Bartkowiak, Ronald (Sandi) Bartkowiak, Randy (Mimi) Bartkowiak; four granddaughters, Christina (Scott) Moore, Jamie (Brandon) Girard, Jenna (Alex) Kowalkoski, Ashley Bartkowiak and her fianc?e Aaron Olsen; two grandsons, Matthew and Dakota Busch; four great grandchildren, Kyle, Chloe, Kaitlin and Kaden; many nieces and nephews; and her puppy she loved dearly, Abbey.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Jean, her brother, Robert Wagner, and sister, Laurice Watters.

The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 at W.L. Case and Company, Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Don Milton will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Sunday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
