He died 27 October 2004 in San Augustine, and his obituary was in the Thursday, November 4, 2004 issue of the San Augustine Tribune. Survived by wife, Tommie; son Don BUTLER (and wife Kay) of Wells; daughter, Jerri HORN (and husband Chrys) of Whitehouse; son-in-law David HARDY of Baytown; brother JK BUTLER (and wife Francis) of Silsbee; sister Wilma LUDWIG (and husband Ken) of Silsbee; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Farmer and Rancher, Past Master of Redland Masonic Lodge, deacon of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church.
