    Funeral Services for Violet Adell (Ferguson) Rhodes-Burch, a longtime resident of the Rosevine Community, age 97, (just short 2 days of 98th Birthday), will be held at 1 p.m Friday, April 19, 2019, in the Rosevine United Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Gordon Simmons officiating. Visitation will be from the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas.

    Adell was born to the late Rita Faustine (Ashby) Ferguson and James Calvin Ferguson on April 18, 1921, in Oklahoma, and passed from this life Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in Hemphill. She was an inspirational, loving, always smiling, caring, and praying lady. In her almost 98 years of life, she had to endure such heartache and tragedies that no one should have to, but with the grace of God, her love for him, God sustained her through it all. She dearly loved her family so very much. Each child, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren knew she loved them, and that love was extended to her daughter-in-loves and sons-in-law. To her beloved siblings, the unique closeness of love she had to her sisters, and brothers clearly showed. When the Ferguson family reunion came around every year, they would and still gather and sing, playing the guitars, keyboards, etc.. and she dearly looked forward to it every year. "There was a lot of love in this dear lady," and it showed. and now she is seeing Jesus and his hands, the hands who held her through it all. She was a faithful and longtime member of the Rosevine United Pentecostal Church in Rosevine, a church that was dear to her heart.

    Those to whom will cherish her memory include, her beloved son, James Rhodes and his wife, Jackie of Vidor; her loving daughter, Linda Kay Loggins and her husband, Leon of Rosevine (Rebecca Community); her beloved sons, Dennis Wayne Burch of Rosevine and Gilbert Dale Burch and his wife, Beverly of Pineland and her loving daughter, Beverly Sue Barlow of Rosevine; her kind and loving sisters, Margaret Oliver of San Augustine; Geraldine Goynes of Rosevine; Edna Cook of Silsbee; Myrtle Boyd of San Antonio and beloved brother, Bruce Ferguson of Rosevine, her loving daughters-in-law, Linda Nell Rhodes of San Augustine; Pat Rhodes of Etoile and Glenda Richard of Rockport, along with her beloved 27 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, and friends, and her beloved church family.

    She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Hershel "Buster" Rhodes, her 2nd husband, Loy "Skeet" Burch; her beloved parents, Reta and James Calvin Ferguson; her beloved sons, Hershel Rhodes, Sr., Paul Albert Rhodes, Tommy Rhodes, Charles Timothy Rhodes, and Kenneth Earl Rhodes; beloved grandsons, Clint Rhodes and Chris Setters, her loving siblings, Velma King, Irene Oliver, Frances Sarver, Eugene "Gene" Ferguson and Albert Ferguson.

    Serving as pallbearers will include, Hershel Rhodes, Jr., Chris Rhodes, Cash Barlow, Caden Miller, Kent Loggins, Ethan Loggins, Blane Rhodes, Mike Rhode, Cody Rhodes and Gary Rhodes.

    Hershel Ray Rhodes, Sr., 59, of San Augustine died Tuesday, November 24, 1998 in Mason City Iowa. Funeral services were held Friday, November 27, at Rosevine United Pentecostal Church in Rosevine with burial at Rosevine Cemetery under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine.

    A native of Kountze, he lived in San Augustine many years and was a pipeline welder.

    He was preceded in death by his mother, Adell (Ferguson) Rhodes Burch; father, Loy "Skeet" Burch; son, Chris Setters; brothers, Hershel Rhodes, James Rhodes, Paul Albert Rhodes, Tommy Rhodes, Timothy Rhodes, and Kenneth Earl Rhodes.

    Funeral services for Darrell Leon Loggins, 51, of Hudson, will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Micah Williams and Bro. Gordon Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Chinquapin Cemetery in San Augustine County.

    Darrell was born November 18, 1969 in Center, Texas, to Leon Loggins and Linda Kay (Rhodes) Loggins, and died Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his residence.

    Darrell worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at CHI St. Luke's Health Memorial Hospital in Lufkin for 12 years. He attended Rosevine United Pentecostal Church. Darrell's life revolved around his son Ethan. It was Ethan's world, and he was just living in it. Darrell enjoyed reading, riding his motorcycle, racing his car, and lifting weights. He was an avid Oilers fan, almost as much as he was a non-Cowboys fan. If there were only two musical artists in existence, Van Halen and Dwight Yoakam would have Darrell covered.

    He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Amber Loggins of Hudson; son, Ethan Cade Loggins of Hudson; parents, Leon and Linda Loggins of Rebecca, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and April Loggins of San Augustine; brother, Kent Loggins of Hudson; nephews, Cole and Kyle; nieces, Kailyn and Cierra; along with a large extended family and many friends.

    Darrell was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Horace and Virgie Lee Loggins; maternal grandfather, Hershel Rhodes, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Adell Burch; grandfather, Loy "Pa Skeet" Burch; uncles, Tim Rhodes, Hershel, Jr., James, Paul Albert, Tommy, Sr., Kenneth Earl, and Kenny Loggins; and aunt, Glenda Ward.

    Pallbearers will be Ethan Loggins, Chuck Loggins, Kent Loggins, Cole Loggins, Kyle Loggins, Joe Bourghs, and Ivy Reynolds.

    Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Loggins, Brendon Ward, Brayden Ratliff, Gilbert Burch, Blayne Rhodes, Gary Rhodes, and Mike Rhodes.

    Special memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd.

    Funeral services for Clinton Dale Rhodes, 26, of Lumberton will be at 10:00 am Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at 2:00 pm at Rosevine Cemetery in Rosevine. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
    Clinton was born October 1, 1980 and went to rest in the arms of our Lord January 17, 2007.

    Clinton was a native of Beaumont and had lived in Lumberton all his life. He was a weld x-ray technician. Clinton was a special young man with a loving heart. He loved to fish and enjoyed watching all sports, especially the UT Longhorns. He will truly be missed by all of us who knew and loved him.

    Clinton was preceded in death by his papaws Wayne Parnell and Buford Sistrunk, grandpaw Hershel Rhodes, Sr. and great-grandparents, Calvin and Rita Ferguson. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jeanie and Joel Sistrunk of Lumberton; father Kenneth Rhodes of Bronson; siblings, Teresa Flocke and husband Chris Flocke of Arlington, Jason Rhodes and wife, Callie Rhodes of Lumberton, Kevin Rhodes (twin brother) and wife Nadia Rhodes of Port Arthur and Tessa Sistrunk of Lumberton; grandparents, Rosie Pryne of Lumberton, Lela Sistrunk of Beaumont and Adele Burch of Rosevine; nieces and nephews, Holden Wayne Rhodes of Lumberton, Cole Allen Rhodes of Lumberton and Mackenzie Cole Flocke of Arlington and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.
