George Andrew Shutter, Jr.

Mr. George Andrew "G.A." Shutter, 67 of San Augustine, passed from this life Thursday afternoon, March 11, 2010 in San Augustine, after an lengthy illness.

A. was born to George Andrew and Myrtle Lee (Williams) Shutter in Hemphill, Texas, October 5, 1942. He had lived in San Augustine for many years. He was a member of Redland Lodge #3 and a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving him are sons, Jerry Baird Shutter of San Augustine, Dale Mason Shutter of Nacogdoches, daughters, Connie Jeannen Martin of San Augustine, Colleen Elizabeth Maldonado of Tucson, Arizona, brother, Troy Shutter of Woodville, sister, Dixie Warner of Mansville, half-brother, Donald Cowan of Beaumont, grandchildren, Josey Breanne Shutter, Jayla Brielle Shutter, Jordyn Bailey Shutter, Greg Martin, Haley Shutter, Callie Shutter, Kendall Wall, Justin Holmes, Brodie Maldonado, Alec Maldonado, Maya Shutter. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Jody and granddaughter Maci.

Services will be Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Don Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Memorial Garden in San Augustine.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

George married Bennie Joe "Jody" Dickerson before 1965. Bennie (daughter of Joe Aron Dickerson and Mittie Lorena "Lena" Norwood) was born on 26 Aug 1943 in San Augustine County, Texas; died on 17 May 2009 in San Augustine, San Augustine County, Texas; was buried on 20 May 2009 in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Bland Lake, San Augustine County, Texas. Connie Jeanne (Shutter) Shaw of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 55 years, 4 months, 5 days.

She was born May 25, 1967, in Beaumont, Texas, to parents George Andrew Shutter and Bennie "Jody" (Dickerson) Shutter. She was a longtime resident of San Augustine County, Texas.

Connie found great pleasure in cooking and sewing. She always loved playing a game of chess or 42 and enjoyed arts and crafts projects. Connie could light up a room with her radiant personality. She was the most loving, caring and unselfish person? if she liked you!

On May 26, 2012, Connie married Ray Shaw. They had first met in the second grade and then reconnected with their first date being at Homecoming 2011.

Connie's words describing herself, "I'm built for speed and accuracy, Baby!"

Her survivors include her husband, Ray Shaw of San Augustine, Texas; two sons, Justin Cole Holmes of Newton, Texas, and Gregory Allen Martin of Kirbyville, Texas; her brothers, Jerry Baird Shutter and wife Aimee of San Augustine, Texas, and Dale Mason Shutter and wife Kim of Nacogdoches, Texas; a sister, Colleen Elizabeth Maldonado and husband Roger of Roxborough Park, Colorado; her parents-in-law, Alton and Brenda Shaw of San Augustine, Texas; 7 nieces; and 2 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. and Jody Shutter; and two nieces, Josey Shutter and Masey Shutter.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2022, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2022, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Randy Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery, located on Hwy. 147 North in San Augustine County, Texas.

Pallbearers: Keith Alford, Rusty Birdwell, Max Mangan, Lynndale Tarver, Dale Warr Jr., and Jody Pickard.

Masey Lorena Shutter

Graveside service for Masey Lorena Shutter, infant, was Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Liberty Hill Cemetery in San Augustine, Texas.

Masey passed away Setember 13, 2009 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on September 3, 2009 in Shreveport, Louisisna.

Masey is surved by her parents Dale and Kimberly (Wall) Shutter, sisters, Callie, Haley, Kendal, Mya; and her grandmother, Delores Cooper.
