3. | Malinda Callahan (1.Miles1) was born between 1827 and 1830 in Tennessee; and died. Notes:
Melba Gene McLemore speculates that Sterling's wife is the same Malinda Callahan that lived only several households away from him at the time of the 1850 Marion County, Alabama census. This appears to be based on both her relatively uncommon first name, along with her age and birthplace, plus the fact that Sterling's sister, Lucretia Jane married Malinda Callahan's brother, James Callahan. This has not been proven.
Family/Spouse: Sterling P. McLemore. Sterling (son of Abner McLemore) was born about 1826 in Alabama; died after 1910 in Mississippi. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
|
9. | Ellcausey Callahan (1.Miles1) was born between 1847 and 1851 in Alabama; and died. Notes:
Melba Gene McLemore speculates that Ellcausey is a Callahan, due to the fact that Sterling and Lucretia Jane, both thought to be siblings of Williams, also married Callahan's...and due to the fact that 84 year old Dessa Callahan (showns as McLemore) is in their home at the time of the 1880 cenus.
IF she is a daughter of Miles and Dica CALLAHAN, however, why does she not appear to be listed with them at the time of the 1850 Marion, Alabama census?
Family/Spouse: William McLemore. William was born between 1832 and 1835 in Tennessee; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Generation: 3
15. | Anderson L. McLemore (3.Malinda2, 1.Miles1) was born in Sep 1855 in Alabama; died before 1910 in Calhoun County, Mississippi. Notes:
Melba Gene McLemore quotes Luke Tyler as telling her that "Anderson was killed cutting the top of an Oil & Gas barrel, which exploded." Luke's wife was the granddaughter of W.H. "Will" HANNAFORD, brother of Lula Ann Hannaford McLemore. Luke also informed Melba that Dudley Davis of Reid, Mississippi had a box of material about this family that came to him from the home of the late Iris McLemore.
