    Merritt Mullen shows his date of birth as 20 Dec 1889, which matches the 1900 census. However, his World War I Draft Registration, completed on June 5, 1917, shows an alternate date of birth, that of 20 Sep 1886. He was shown as born in "Chrystal Springs, Miss. America."

    He was a millwright, employed by R. D. Sauls in Mylestown, Miss. His dependants were listed as a wife, two children, mother and brother. He was of medium heighth and weight, with blue eyes and black hair.
