Clark, on page 35 of his book, transcribed the following record "found in Sabine Co. courthouse, Hemphill, Texas by Mrs. Russell Shambough: Vol. B, page 87, Martha Beddoe dau. and legal heir of Elijah Clark deceased, deeded to Elias Clark for $50.00, 331 acres in all acorss the Pologocho Bayou and Tebo Creek known as Elijah Clark Place. Martha's portion 47 3/7 acres. Dated June 24, 1865. Signed ? Martha."
