      KIRBYVILLE ? Funeral for Irene Sargent Christian, 84, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Kirbyville First Baptist Church with burial in the Kirbyville Cemetery under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home.

      Mrs. Christian died at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Mixson Memorial Hospital. A native of Angelina County, she was reared in Tyler County and moved to Kirbyville in 1908.

      Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Blake of Kirbyville, Vallie Dee Richardson and Josephine Matthews, both of Houston; four sons, R. W. Christian of Houston, B.F. Christian of Channelview, Raymond Christian of Porter, Tex., and Weyman Christian of Kirbyville.
