    • Carolyn Faye Nemec, 86, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at her residence.

      Carolyn was born in Hemphill, Texas on May 1, 1934 to William and Ollie Ferguson. She worked as a loan officer for 32 years for Texas Commerce and Chase Banks.

      She is survived by her son, Martin Nemec and wife, Gina, of San Antonio; daughter, Teresa Nemec of Hemphill; brother, Nolan Ferguson of Hemphill; grandchildren, Garrett Wike, Natalie Smith, and Travis Nemec; and five great grandchildren.

      Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Nemec; brothers, Deas Ferguson and Dillon Ferguson; and sister-in-law, Frances Ferguson.

      Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 at Harper's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Dillon Ray Ferguson and Chris Moody officiating.

      Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. before services at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

      Serving as pallbearers are Mike Starkey, Shelly Schultz, Garrett Wike, Travis Nemec, Tommy Ferguson, and Ray Sepulvado.
