Frances June Ferguson, 83, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Hemphill Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill. Frances was born June 15, 1936 in Sabine County to Nay Carter Strickland and Nora Bell Humble. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Frances was a life long resident of Sabine County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hemphill. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She is survived by her husband, Nolan Ferguson of Hemphill; son, Tommy Joe Ferguson and wife, Jennifer, of Silsbee; daughter, Wendi Moody and husband, Christopher, of Sour Lake; sister, Helen Murray of Pasadena; and grandchildren, Whitney, Walter, Trinity, Audrey, and William. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Christopher Moody and Dillon Ray Ferguson officiating.
