    Notes
    • I was not able to locate the family of Ferman Fullen in Robert Cecil McDaniel's transcription of the 1920 Sabine County census. However, they were listed on the 1920 Texas Soundex as residents of Sabine County, as follows. The soundex references Vol. 142, ED 170, Sht 3, Line 18. I examined the actual microfilm and did find the family. The microfilm copy was very light and nearly illegible, however. It appears that the soundex information was probably correct.

      Per the 1920 Soundex card:

      Fullen, Firman E W 24 TX
      Fullen, Arlie V. W 24 TX
      Fullen, Walter O W son 6 TX
      Fullen, Minnie M D dau 5 TX
      Fullen, Margurite R dau 2 8/12 TX
Fullen, Mona? M dau 8/12 TX

According to a copy of an obituary for F. E. Fullen, not fully dated or referenced, "ORANGE, May 11--Ferman Egbert Fullen, 48, of Orange, an employee of the Consolidated Steel corporation, died at a local hospital at 7 a.m. Thursday as a result of injuries sustained when he fell several hours earlier at the shipyard.
