  Notes	Sabine County Reporter March 8, 2006 Simon "Pete" Anderson Simon Elton "Pete" Anderson, 97, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born Nov. 3, 1908, in Hemphill as a son of the late Ernest L. and Ara Josephine (Clark) Anderson. He was a fifth generation Texan. On Dec. 30, 1933, he married Rosalie LEZE. They were married for 72 years. He served in the Army during World War II. Pete joined the East Mayfield Baptist Church when he was nine years old. He was a member of Fisher Baptist Church in Fisher, Louisiana. He retired from the Lone Leaf Lumber Company in Fisher. He was a resident of Fisher from 1937 until moving to Hemphill Care Center on Jan. 17, 1998. Survivors: wife, Rosalie Anderson of Hemphill, sister, Vermell BRUST and husband Louis of Hemphill, and a brother, Lonnie G. Anderson and wife Barbara of Gilmer. Funeral services were held March 3 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana. Interment was a Fisher Cemetery in Fisher. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
