Notes |
- The "William Rupert Kerr Lecture in Obstetrics and Gynecology" was established at the University of Texas Medical Branch by Dr. and Mrs. Charles Denton Kerr in memory of their son, Dr. William Rupert Kerr, who practiced obstetrics and gynecology with his father in Houston until he died unexpectedly of a heart attack in 1968. His Texas Death Certificate, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texs Deaths, 1890-1976, shows that he was married at the time of his death, contradicting the Texas Death Index on which he was shown as single. He was listed as a Physician, and a veteran serving during the Korean conflict. His cause of death was listed as Ischemic heart disease and coronary artery disease, both of which he suffered from for 9 1/3 years. The informant was Denton Kerr, his father.
