  Notes	Kenneth Harvey shows him as Fred Lafayette McClanahan, however his marriage record census records consistently show him simply as Lafayette. Perhaps his middle name was Fred, as a 1908 biography of brother-in-law W. H. H. Payne referred to him as L. F. McClanahan.
