  Notes	Obituary for Glenn Edwin Kronhofman A Funeral Service for Glenn will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tobias Gymnasium in Tobias, Nebraska. Pastor Vic Peterson will preside over the Funeral Service. A public visitation will take place on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Farmer & Son Funeral Home - Kotas Chapel in Milligan, Nebraska from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be Military Honors outside the Tobias Gymnasium following the Funeral Service. They will be performed by the Tobias American Legion Post 311. It was Glenn's wish to be cremated following the Funeral Service and his ashes will be placed in the Alexandria Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Tobias American Legion or the Tobias Fire Department. Glenn Edwin Kronhofman was born in Geneva, Nebraska on November 12, 1948 to Edward and Mary Ann (Cecrle) Kronhofman of Tobias, Nebraska. He passed away at Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, Nebraska on May 3, 2023, at the age of 74 years. Glenn grew up on the family farm west of Tobias and attended the District 41 school. He graduated from Tobias High School in 1966, and then studied mechanics at the Universal Technical Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. After college graduation, he worked for Nick's Farm Store in Geneva. In 1968, Glenn enlisted in the Navy as a Seabee, and served two deployments in Vietnam. He volunteered for the second deployment. He was in the Naval Reserves until 1974. Glenn was proud to serve his country, and his hard work and dedication to the Navy did not go unnoticed, as he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He also received several letters of commendations from his superiors that were listed in his military file. Upon discharge from the Navy, he returned home to work for Frans Feed Store in Tobias, while also farming with his dad and trucking. Glenn was a proud member of the Tobias American Legion Post 311, the VFW Post 7102 in Geneva, and a founder of the Sons of Legion post in Tobias. He served on the Alexandria and Tobias Volunteer Fire Departments. He was also a dedicated trucker, and a member of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association. In January of 1971, Glenn married Joyce Schneider. To this union, Joe and Tanya were born. Glenn and Joyce parted ways, and in July of 1979, he married Helen Harder who brought Gina, whom Glenn adopted, and Donna, Charlie, Cindy, and Susan were born. They separated, and in October of 1998, he married Ava "Kate" Nicholson. She brought her sons Zachary, Nicholas, and Matthew into the family. They also parted ways, and in July of 2011, Glenn married Trish McDonald. She brought William, Mark, and Courtanie into the family. Glenn took pride in all of his children, grandchildren, and his first great grandchild to date. He enjoyed visiting and playing pitch with them, and attending his grandchildren's activities. He was outgoing and sociable with his family and his peers. He spent many nights at the Geneva VFW and Tobias Legion drinking Vodka Cranberries, and countless mornings at the local bar for morning coffee. Glenn knew all of the gossip, and knew who to call to get it. If someone did not have the answer he was looking for, *click*, on to the next call. When a call did not suffice, he was in his truck with a cigar in his mouth, driving all around the surrounding counties to see what everyone was up to. Had he not been a farmer and trucker, he would have thrived being a news reporter and weather man. Glenn always knew how much moisture everyone had before the weather was on TV. He was John Deere green, through and through. Glenn loved tractors, and spent the majority of his free time during his retirement doing all things tractor. He collected tractors, traveled to sales and tractor pulls, organized and participated in tractor drives, and spent countless hours working on his tractors with his family. When he wasn't with his tractors, he was in his truck or the van. He loved to travel, near and far. He made several trips with Trish out to California to visit her family. No matter where he went, he always took the long route, so he could point out all the interesting spots and things along the way. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Ann Kronhofman, his special aunt Wilma Kronhofman, his former wife, Helen Kronhofman, and granddaughter Elizabeth Labenz. He is survived by his wife, Trish Kronhofman of Tobias, Nebraska; his former wife Joyce Plock of York, Nebraska; his former wife, Ava "Kate" Kronhofman of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, and her sons Zachary, Nicholas, and Matthew Wright; his sister Cheryl (Don) Uher of Daykin, Nebraska; his brother Galen (Trish) Kronhofman of Alma, Nebraska; his brother Dan (Brenda) Kronhofman of Geneva, Nebraska; his sister Karen Kronhofman (Brent Mitchell, special friend) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his son, Joe (Paige) Kronhofman of Ainsworth, Nebraska, and their children, Kortney and Cody; his daughter, Tanya (Tim) Peters of Stromsburg, Nebraska and children Claton and Bryce; his daughter Gina (Larry) Schafer of Tobias, and their children, Mikayla (Ricky) Nu?ez (and their son Lorenzo, the first great grandchild), Hailey, and Kolby; his daughter Donna Jacobitz of Bruning, Nebraska, and her children, Shana and Bradley; his daughter Charlotte (Lonnie) Rachow of Shelton, Nebraska, and their children, Kylee and Hunter; his daughter Cindy (Scott) Harding of Geneva, Nebraska, and their children, Domonic, Faith, and Kellin; his daughter Susan (Mark) Labenz of Bruning, Nebraska and their children Jacob and Isabella; his stepson William Rainey of Virginia, Nebraska and his children Celena, William Jr., Danika, Elijah Sophia, Emmet, Ellie, Khalianna, Kaydrianna, Adrianna, Max, and Andrew; his stepson, Mark Miller Jr. (Crystal) of Deshler, Nebraska, and children Tequilla, Falynn, Kaisley, and Theodore; and stepdaughter Courtanie Miller (William Carney) of Beatrice, Nebraska, and children Jaylynn, Raychel, and Kiyana; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends.
