U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. Retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 38 years. Bob loved his family and gathrings. He was an avid reader and gardener, and he loved to care for his yard and travel. Survivors: wife, Rufina; son: Stanley (Nancy) Butterfield; daughter, Karen (Bill) Blackford; grandchildren, Allison Bryan, Kristin Butterfield, Melissa Viox, Tom Blackford and Aaron Butterfield; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Donald; son, Steven Butterfield. Memorial service: 10 a.m., Friday June 17, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln.
