  	Sylvia and I spent most of the day yesterday checking deeds and looking for the Payne-Jones cemetery. With the help of two life long residents Charles Vannoy and C.L. Taylor we found the cemetery, It was all grown over and near dark, was still able to find Eliza Jones stone and several other 2X18X12 inch stones. There is a very large oak tree in the center and is about 200 years old, We will go back in the next couple of days and clean it up and take some pictures. C.L. Taylor told us where the old house site is located about 100 yards North, All of house is gone except the old well and a few other things. C.L. told us his family purchased the land from the family Levi F. sold the land to. I did find this transfer and looked a the deed. As i remember it sold for $1525. We have a copy of the land grant and will send you a copy. The grant is for 80 acres and is described as the W1/2 of the NE1/4 of sec 13 T58N R10W The cemetery is located on this land and is in the SW1/4 of the NE1/4 sec 13 T58NR10W.
