    • Jerry Paul Vickers, 67, of Orange, Texas passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at his residence.

      Jerry was born in Houston, Texas on March 13, 1952 to Paul Hamilton Vickers and Marceil Elliott Vickers. A lifelong resident of Sabine County, Jerry attended Hemphill ISD was a member of the graduating class of 1970. He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal service for most his life.

      Jerry is survived by his companion, Deborah Crnkovic of Orange, Texas; sons, Jeffery Vickers and wife, Jennifer of Hemphill, Texas; Cory Vickers of Springefield, Missouri, and daughter, Ariel Higginbotham and husband, Jared of Garland, Texas and his grandchildren, Elijah Vickers, Sophia Higginbotham, Amirabella Higginbotham, and Hezekiah Higginbotham.

      He is proceeded in death by his parents, Paul and Marceil Vickers and his step father, Loyd Hamilton.

      Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

      Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel.

      Burial will follow service at King Cemetery in Milam, Texas.
