Mrs. George Kennedy Sr.
Services for Mrs. George E. Kennedy Sr., 85, of Longview will be 4 pm today in Longview Christian Church with the Revs. Craig Moor and Bernie Ayers officiating.
Burial will be 6:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches with the Rev. Rex Humphries officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Born Oct 20, 1905 in Timpson, Lucy Haden Kennedy was the daughte of the late Ferdinand D. and Minnie McLemore Haden. She had lived in Longview since 1952. She attended Stephen F. Austin College, where she was selected as the first "Most Beautiful." Her last husband, George E. Kennedy Sr. was co-owner of Kennedy's Jewelry Stores in Nacogdoches and Longview.
Survivors inclus sons, Louis Haden and George Jr, both of Longview; daughter Mrs. Jim (Lucy) Canter of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
