  Notes	Marvin James Jordan, 83, died Friday morning in the Nacogdoches Medical Center after an illness. He was born in Hemphill, TX. to Marvin A. "Pete" and Hattie Wright Jordan. Marvin was in the Merchant Marines before joining the U.S. Army during World War II. After his service he worked as a supervisor in the Texaco Refinery in the Golden Triangle. After retirement he moved back to Hemphill from Bridge City. Marvin is survived by his wife Mildred Iles Jordan of Hemphill, his brother Millard and wife Bettie Jordan of Hemphill, and his sister-in-law Geneva Iles of Pt. Arthur. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2011, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, TX. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 20, 2011, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hemphill Cemetery.
