    • Obituary of Melba Evett

      Melba Evett, 70, of Baytown, Texas passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on April, 29, 2017.

      Melba was born July 15, 1946 in San Augustine, Texas to the late Mr. and Mrs. W.H. and Tassie Alice Walton Womack. She married Roger Dale Evett and they shared many blessed years together until his passing. Mrs. Evett was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whom loved her family dearly. She made sure that the needs of her husband and family were fully taken care of often forsaking her own. She made sure that everyone around her, especially her family and friends were comfortable.

      Melba will be dearly missed by everyone that had the great blessing of knowing her.

      She is survived by; three children, Darlene Cooling and her husband Tim of Baytown, Texas, Kimberly Evett and Jami Madley of Spring, Texas, and Dale Evett and his wife Jennifer of Roanoke, Texas. 5 Grandchildren; Lucas Gantt, Logan Gantt, Jake Evett, Mika Evett, and Landon Evett. She is also survived by one sister, Joy Haygood of San Augustine, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Roger Dale Evett, three brothers; Carl Womack, Chock Womack, and Johnny Womack; and two sisters; Dorothy Parsons, and Bonnie Womack.

      Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Wyman Roberts Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Attoyac Cemetery under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.

      Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at he Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.
