    • Wade McGraw, age 66, of Hemphill, Texas was born January 10, 1951 at home in Fairdale, Texas to Arbie and Ruth McGraw.

      He graduated from Hemphill HS in 1969, moved to Cold Spring, Texas returned to Hemphill in 1972 and spent the rest of his life in Sabine County.

      He was a self-employed cabinet builder of 44 years. His talents can be seen in numerous homes all over East Texas, Louisiana and even in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

      Wade was a man of God. He attended and served as a deacon at East Mayfield Baptist Church for many years. He loved the Lord, his wife, his family and his friends. He touched countless lives during his time on this Earth. If you met Wade McGraw once, you never forgot him. Wade was a loved son, a loving husband, loved and respected father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He was a talented builder, designer, musician, artist and teacher of life lessons and God's word.

      Wade was married over 40 years to Kathy Webb McGraw. He is survived by his wife and three children and their spouses: Leslie and Richie Huval, Tom and April McGraw and Lee and Seleah McGraw, all of Tyler, Texas. He was also blessed with six grandchildren: Timothy, Ruthie, Adam and Lilli Huval, Koen and Jensen McGraw and one on the way. He is also survived by two brothers, Frayne and Terry, and a sister, Christine.

      A celebration of Wade's life will be held on Monday, 11am, at Starr Funeral Home, with burial following at Gravelhill Cemetery.

      The visitation will be Sunday night 5-8pm.
