    • Christine Smith, 87, of Vidor, Texas, died March 9, 2017. She was born December 26, 1929 to Amos B. and Ruby Webb Jones in Yellowpine, Texas. She was a supervisor with the telephone company.

      Mrs. Smith is survived by her half-brother, Raymond Jones, of Bridge City, Texas; nieces, Shirley Quick and husband, Kenneth, of Vidor, Texas and Melissa Davis and husband, Jim, of Winnie, Texas; nephews, Raymond Jones and wife, Delores, of Lumberton, Texas, Dale Jones and wife, Grace, of Beaumont, Texas, Sammy Jones of Beaumont, and Barry McDaniel, also of Beaumont, Texas; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

      Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Price Smith; son, Robert Price Smith; brother, Lester R. Jones; and sisters, Maxine Mason and Catherine McDaniel.

      Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 in Yellowpine Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home.

      Donations to Wounded Warriors or the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
