      Funeral services for I.B. Dickerson, age 86 of Burkeville, Texas will be 2pm, Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Burkeville Baptist Church.

      Burial to follow in Mattox Cemetery.

      I.B. died April 30, 2013 at Timberlake Health & Rehabilitation in Jasper, Texas.

      A native of Pineland, Texas and a long time resident of Burkeville, he was a retired welder in the Burkeville area. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

      Survivors include wife of 63 years Betty Hall Dickerson of Burkeville, his two sons, Homer Dickerson and wife Linda of Fort Worth, Texas and Ricky Dickerson of Carthage, Texas, his daughter, Robin Cooper and husband Jeff of Burkeville, his brother Billy Mack Dickerson of Pineland, his two sisters, Betty Patillo and Barbara Williamson, both of Pineland, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

      He was predeceased by parents Lewis and Juliah Crocker Dickerson, grandson Bryan Dickerson (FAG mem 28207423), great grandson Waylon Greer (FAG mem 94091841), his sister Dorthy Faulkner (FAG mem 13513630) and his brother L.J. Dickerson (FAG mem 37573022).

      Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
