  Notes	Obituary, from FindAGrave: Mr. Butler was a graduate of NC State University and veteran of the US Army. He was a part of the Roseboro community for over 60 years. He was an owner and operator of Butler & Crumpler Milling Company in Roseboro for 35 years. He served on numerous boards and civic groups including the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Cross Creek Savings & Loan, Roseboro Area Economic Development, Boy Scouts, Girls Haven (now Boys and Girls Home of Lake Waccamaw) and other Sampson County organizations. He was also an active member of the Roseboro United Methodist Church since 1952. At the church, he was at various times a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Delegate to the Annual Conference, Lay Leader, Finance Committee Chairman and Administrative Board Chairman. Among his many hobbies were gardening, wood-working, traveling, civic activities and visiting his children and grandchildren.
