  Notes	The Striffler-Benkelman Broadcast, Volume 10, September 1, 1947, noted that James Mark graduated from Cass City High School and was the Eighth in Ed Mark's family to graduate. Cass City Chronicle September 3, 1981 Page Four Heart attack fatal for James Mark, 52 James Edward Mark, 52, of Wilsie Road, a lifelong resident of the Cass City area, died suddenly Tuesday at Caro Community Hospital of a heart attack. He was born April 1, 1929, in Cass City, the son of Edward and Mary (Leitch) Mark Sr. He married Phyllis WANNER June 18, 1949, in Bay City. He was a member of Salem United Methodist church. Mark, an Eagle Scout, served as cubmaster for many years. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Philip (Kathy) NICHOLS, Caro; two sons, Joseph Mark, Sacramento, Calif., and Gregory Mark, Kalamazoo; his father, Cass City; seven sisters, Mrs. Bill MARTUS and Mrs. Elmer KEHOE, both Cass City, Mrs. Ruth WURTSMITH, Grosse Pointe Woods, Mrs. Emeline URQUHART, Caseville, Mrs. Russell LEESON, Wild Fowl Bay, Mrs. Betty McLEOD, Sandusky, and Mrs. Richard DILL, Kirkwood, Missouri; one brother, Archie Mark, Flushing, and four grandchildren. One brother, Leitch Mark, and one sister, Grace Mark, preceded him in death. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Salem United Methodist Church, Rev. Eldred Kelly officiating.
