In her sketch of Ola Fussell Smith, on the occasion of her 85 birthday in August, 1963, Virgie Speights wrote that Ola's siblings were "sister, Florence, married Tom Bickley and her brothers...Lonnie Fussell, Lum Fussell, Henry Fussell, Bud Fussell, all of Sabine Parish, Louisiana, the former Miss Annie Fussell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the former Miss Addie Fussell of Shreveport, Louisiana.
