    • Obituary of George Ann Ferguson

      Mrs. George Ann Ferguson, age 63, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

      George Ann was born September 20, 1954, in Beaumont, Texas, to parents George and Betty (Harris) Tolar and grew up in Warren, Texas. She had lived in the Pineland/Hemphill area for the past several years.

      George Ann had a great love for her family, taking great pride in her children's accomplishments and enjoyed being a grandmother.

      She found wonderful pleasure in helping others. Her love for animals caused her to provide such great care for them, often providing new homes for strays. George Ann was one of the greatest Harley-Davidson enthusiasts and had some great times riding. Also special to George Ann was her ability to play piano by ear she enjoyed this talent and even had served various churches as pianist with the most recent being Yellowpine-Macedonia Baptist Church.

      Her survivors include her children, Keri Green of Houston, Texas, Jeffrey Kinsel and wife Kathy of Seattle, Washington, Danielle Wilkerson and husband Trey of Newton, Texas, Michelle Dixson and husband Johnathan of Port Arthur, Texas, and Rachel Ferguson of Hemphill, Texas; grandchildren, Stephen Thomas, Brett Thomas, Chevy Faught, IV Wilkerson, and Adrian Wilkerson, plus Aubrey Dixson, who is "on the way;" brothers, Ronnie Harris and wife Shirley of Tomball, Texas, and Judson "Sandy" Tolar and wife Trina of Tomball, Texas; and a sister, Judy Tolar of Bronson, Texas.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lee Ferguson; parents, George and Betty Tolar; a brother, George Michael Harris; and a grandson, Christopher Thomas.

      Visitation will be held Friday, August 10, 2018, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Farmer Funeral Home, located at 415 North Fourth Street in Silsbee, Texas.

      Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Farmer Funeral Home's chapel with Bro. T.A. Lane and Bro. Judson "Sandy" Tolar officiating. A 5:00 p.m. committal service will be held at Springhill Cemetery, located off FM 83 near Hemphill, Texas.
