    • Dale Rubel shows her as a daughter of Ardus "Arch" MATTOX and Minnie Alice NEWBERRY. She appears to have married second a Mr. Griffin, and is shown as Myrtle Ophelia Griffin on her Texas Death Certificate. She died from head and chest injuries in a two car accident in Sabine County. The informant was her sister, Mrs. Marjorie BARLOW. Her parents were listed as Arch L. Mattox and Minnie Alice Newberry.
